Lead and manage public engagement and outreach for NASA’s James Webb and Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescopes, infrared observatories that complement and extend the discoveries of the Hubble Space Telescope.
Event Coordination and Management:
Managed 17 separate events, overseeing shipping, travel, and event budgets for both missions in 2024.
Shared content, training, and materials to enable locations to host their own Webb events.
In 2021-2022, 614 locations hosted Webb events drawing a total attendance of over 63,500 people.
Content Creation:
Write and plan engaging articles, informational products (posters, banners, brochures), social media posts, and collaborations that best connect and promote Webb and Roman missions publicly and internally.
Design and execute interactive exhibits to highlight science and missions within NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and at events. Currently leading the design of the Roman Mission Operations Center at Goddard.
Media Support:
Responded to over 150 interview requests from national and international media outlets (CBS, CNN, BBC, etc.)
Coordinated and oversaw interviews for 28 different stories, with multimedia outlets in Asia, Europe, North and South America, reaching millions of people during the month of Webb launch (December 2021).
